Day 2 with Andy

okay so I get up again at 4:00AM not so bad. I am still excited and nervous about everything so I think that helps me get up and keep my engery. I am sure it will hit soon and I will be going to bed really early and dragging my butt to get up.

Today as I hobbled into Training Effects with my aching body, smiling Andy was ready to work hard. I really worked hard today and did allot of stability moves and lots of push ups - i really don't like those (hee) and honestly I can't believe I can even push my weight up off the ground so I was excited to complete them. I have to also say that squats well they are not my favorite thing either. My quads are really feeling it and my legs have been shaky since I left the building. My mind feels excited still and I am really pumped up about this experience. What do I expect after not working out in 13 years.

I don't feel alone with my pain after reading everyone else's posts. I saw Rebecca there this morning - hi Rebecca! Everyone at the gym is very friendly and nice. Andy your okay too (ha ha ha)

I am still eating "clean" and tracking my food. Andy will talk to me on Friday about what I need to add or cut back on. Right now I feel great! I hope I don't have to go to the bathroom soon - it will be a painful and slow walk to get there.

See you tomorrow Andy my friend! Good luck everyone!

Here is my inspiration photo - this was taken in April 1995. This is where I want to be again...

Quote of the Day....

"Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it."

~Maya Angelou

First Meeting with Andy

Well I have survived the first day with Andy. I woke up at 4:05AM and ate some fruit and met up with Andy at 5:00AM. Today we went over my foodlog and checked my flexability and my working heart rate. Boy do I need allot of work! The exercises that look so simple well they WEREN'T for me. I actually was sweating from the exercises. We haven't even started cardio or weights - yikes!

At the end Andy measured my bodyfat. I am soooo embarrased with the number and I can't wait to get that number down. I have allot of hard work ahead of me and I am ready to "GER ER DONE!"

Until tomorrow.....

Friday Quote of The Day

I just found this quote and love it!

"Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile."

Andy just called me

Today is Friday the 26th and Andy called to check in. We had a long chat and I am really excited we are going to be working together. I know he is going to kick my A*$#& and maybe I won't like him next week when we start working out as much as I do now but I am sure once I get over the "hurting and aching" phase he will be my friend again (ha ha ha)

Here is my fab new trainor! Meet Andy....
Andy if you see this please be easy on this body Monday!

Nutrition Nutrition Nutrition

at 9:00AM I met Andy at the Natural Choice Market in Hooksett. Scotty came along with me. I met the owner Debbie and she was soooo nice. She and Andy took me around the store and we talked about all different foods and why they are good for you and the ones that aren't. I appreciate both of them to take time out of their busy days to disucss nutrition with me. I bought allot of grocery's and I am ready to start. I am also going to start a food log.

Did I mention I am excited!

Andy called me today

September 22, 2008

I get a phone call on my cell phone around 10:00AM from Training Effects and the guy on the other end was Andy my new trainor. I asked now which one are you and he said "I am the good looking one" I cracked up and said are you the hockey dad? He said yes - whew glad I got that right. After talking we planned on meeting at Natural Choice Market grocery store in Hooksett to discuss nutrition on Thursday at 9:00AM.

I am really getting excited now!

Saturday, August 20th

Okay so today was a big day. I had to reschedule a photoshoot and I was late for my neighbors daughters wedding. At 11:00AM I showed up at TRAINING EFFECTS - this is going to be my new home away from home. Frank 106.3 was there and I got to meet the other winners for the challenge. There are 5 woman and 1 man. We got to get to know the trainers a little bit by talking to them and then Billy the owner told us what was in store for each of us - allot of hard work, change of diet, committment and some more committment. I like their motta - Work Hard or Go Home thus my blooger website name.

I met Sarah and she is awesome! I can tell she is a very nice person and has a great personality and she really wants us all to succeed. We won't let you down Sarah!

Here is a photo taken at the event - I can't believe how horrible my body looks! Yikes!

The Call.....

September 19, 2008

I got the call! Yep I got it! When I heard on Frank 106.3 radio station about the Slim to Win Challenge I felt like this was a sign for me so I checked out the website for Frank 106.3 and saw that Training Effects was located in Londonderry NH which was another sign so I decided to write the essay and send in my photo (thank you B for taking the photos of mom) and when i e-mailed off my entry I had a good feeling about it then on September 19th I got the call from Jim and Sarah and I was so happy! Thank you Sarah and Jim!
